DBC’s History Lesson: 1993

Note: DBC stands for Disney By Chris

For our history lesson for today, let’s go back to 1993!!

At Disneyland:
  • Mickey’s Toontown welcomed their first guests in January.
  • Aladdin’s Oasis opened in Adventureland.

At Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom:
  • The Hall of Presidents in Liberty Square was closed. The Imagineers were creating and installing the Audio-Animatronics figure of President Bill Clinton.
  • Mission to Mars was closed in Tomorrowland. It was later replaced by Alien Encounter in 1994.
The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza opened at Disney-MGM Studios

That’s our history lesson for today!!
