Robert B. Sherman 1925-2012

As all of you heard last week, we lost Robert B. Sherman of The Sherman Brothers. He and his brother Richard M. Sherman wrote a lot of songs for for both the Disney films. They wrote the song "Chim Chim Chree" from Mary Poppins, which earned them an Academy Award back in 1964.

Robert and Richard also wrote songs for the Disney Park attractions including:

  • The Enchanted Tiki Room
  • Magic Journeys
  • It's A Small World
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
  • Adventure Through Inner Space
  • Journey Into Imagination
And my all-time favorite,
  • Carousel of Progress

Robert will be enternally missed, but he will never be forgotten.

We miss you, Robert.

C.A.T. (Chris's Attraction Trivia): Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

Do you remember The Devils at the end of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Fantasyland at Disneyland Park in California?

They never appeared in the 1949 Disney film "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad".  They were made ONLY for the attraction.
