For our history lesson for today, let’s go back to 2001.
At Walt Disney World:
Magic Kingdom:
- Country Bear Christmas Show opened after it was moved from Disneyland.
- The Hall of Presidents featured the Audio-Animatronics figure of George W. Bush after winning the 2000 Presidential Election along with the Florida Recount.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom:
- TriceraTop Spin welcomed its first guests.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
- Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream opened in the honor of Walt Disney’s 100th Birthday!!
At Disneyland:
- Disney’s California Adventure welcomed its first guests.
- Rocket Rods closed it’s doors for good.
- Haunted Mansion Holiday opened for the first time.
- Country Bear Theater was closed and was later replaced by another attraction. We’ll talk about that later this week.
